Featured Speaker:  Mark Blum is a well recognized 3-D underwater photographer. He is local resident of Carmel Valley. Over the last year he has built a customized underwater 3-D housing which he first used on a recent trip to the Philippines. He will present these images along with a discussion of how he created his 3-D camera system and housing. www.undersea3d.com

Photo Contest: All MPUP members who have paid their $15 dues for 2012 are eligible to submit their favorite underwater image which will be judged by those attending the banquet during the cocktail hour. Submit your entry via email. See submission details or contact Art Haseltine at 624-1957 for help. The entry deadline is 5:00 PM, January 21, 2012.  Prizes include: Kindle Fire; Mark Shargel's latest book - Wonders of the Sea; Air Swimmer White shark; $50 Backscatter gift certificate; Electronic fish book; and a coffee cup with the participant’s image printed into the glaze.
