Night Photography (above water) by Andy Frazer
The world undergoes a magic transformation at night. As humans, our senses and our instinctive emotional responses change. Many people fear the night, but some of us embrace it. Either way, the more time we spend outside at night, the more we become tuned in to this strange world. Andy's night photography is an attempt to capture the magic of that transformation in a purely visual media. He tries to present the night world as he sees it, while eliciting a strong emotional response in the viewer.
Andy will be presenting his night photography, often using just moonlight and a long exposure. His night photography focuses on abandoned buildings, the urban landscape and the ocean.
Andy Frazer has been photographing for over 30 years. Since 1999, he has focused almost exclusively on photographing at night. In 2005 he produced the first documentary film on night photography: The Night of the Living Photographers, which premiered at San Francisco Open Studios in 2005, and has been incorporated into photography courses in Marin County, San Francisco, and Boston, MA. In April 2006, he began editing a web blog dedicated to night photography (gorillasites.blogspot.com). To view more of his work and learn more about night photography, please see below links:
