Wonders of the Sea: North Central California’s Marine Riches

Marc Shargel will present a visual voyage beneath California’s near-shore
Pacific Ocean. He is an award-winning marine photographer well known to
many around the Monterey Peninsula. He has been diving since 1978 and
spent a summer studying marine biology at Hopkins Marine Station. He has
developed a life-long passion for photography and the preservation of our
fragile coastal eco system. Marc has been making photographs in the sea
since the 1980’s and has published his first book, Wonders if the Sea . He will
share some of his best images with us and tell us some great stories about his
adventures along our shores. He will also have some copies of his new book
with him for those who might be interested in purchasing one for themselves.
